Creating Peterson of Dublin

We are excited to share with you our first spec film for Sonship Studio. We wanted to create a powerful piece for Peterson of Dublin a company we admire a lot.

The story is about a lighthouse keeper and his strong ties to the water. His father who was a fishman who passed away in a boating accident. The lighthouse keeper continues to wrestle with his father's death.

His fathers love for pipes is what ends up helping him feel a sense to connection to his father in times of loneliness.

The film was all shot in one day, we started right before sunrise to get some really nice moody colors with the oranges and blues of the clouds. All shots we're filmed on a Canon 5D Mark IV with a CAME-TV Cage and SmallHD monitor.

Big thanks to John Flavin, the gentleman who played the role of the lighthouse keeper and to the entire team at the Hook Lighthouse. We are super excited on how the project came together. If you have any questions about how we filmed parts of the film or want to learn more about what we do feel free to reach out on our Contact Page or leave us a line in the comments below.
